Hypnotherapy is an excellent way to lose weight and feel better about yourself.
Many of my clients come to see me becase they are unhappy with their size. Perhaps the weight has slowly crept up over the years and they have decided that enough is enough. Or maybe there has been a more sudden weight gain. Many of us overeat due to emotional reasons, i.e. we eat to satisfy our emotions rather than eat because our body physically needs the food.

It may be that you eat when you are bored or stressed or maybe you just never really feel full up. Food provides that instant reward and gratification, hence the term 'comfort eating'. When you need an emotional boost or need cheering up, that easily accessible chocolate bar or bag or crisps is an easy way of getting that - but just for that moment. Then often the guilt and regret often follows shortly after...
The connection between weight and self esteem
For many of my clients, their self esteem hinges on how attractive they look and how slim they feel. They feel that by being in control of their weight they are more in control of how others perceive them, value them and like/love them. However, very often, feelings of low self worth, feeling ugly, feeling 'not good enough' come from within; these feelings come from an inner unrest, but are being projected onto how they they look.
They blame how they feel on their weight, when really, the negative feelings are already there, but are made worse by feeling overweight.
People who don’t understand self-image wrongly put all their attention on changing their eating and exercise behaviors, but the problem with this physical-only approach is that it’s not addressing the source or cause of the behavior. That's why, mainly, diets don't work.
Weight loss and self sabotage
People generally lose weight when they are most motivated to do so. This is the time when diets are most successful. However, for as many people who lose weight from dieting, and manage to maintain that loss, there are many more who put the weight back on again...and then some. This can be due to slipping back into old eating habits once the motivation has worn off. Or it can be due to self sabotage - they feel they don't deserve to look good - it is incongruent with how they feel inside. Or perhaps, they don't like the attention that being slim brings with it - it feels outside of their comfort zone. They are attempting to move beyond the safe, familiar and comfortable

Unfortunately, most people plagued by being overweight try to slim using a variety of ineffectual methods: they move through an array of fad diets and all usually having the same disappointing result...any pounds shed are almost always quickly regained once the diet is ended. Diets are also unsuccessful because they compel the dieter to think about the very thing with which they have already been too preoccupied - food. On a diet we are constantly thinking about food.
Common eating disorders include Anorexia, bullemia and binge eating, and although the symptoms are about the control of food intake, the disorders actually exist because of negative feelings and emotions that are locked up inside.

Hypnoanalysis for weight problems and control
Often those with weight problems are also anxious or have low self esteem. Therefore, even the easiest or trendiest diet is destined to fail in the long term as the true answer lies at an emotional level. In almost almost all cases, the reasons they began overeating are anchored in their past. Emotions get bottled up from childhood and spill out into the here and now.
...the real change for me is my relationship with food. This need to fill myself with food has gone... I feel reborn and so excited about what the future will bring, now I have let go of all my blocked emotions.

By going through a course of hypnoanalysis, a person suffering from symptoms with an emotional cause, can find themselves guided to a moment of 'surprising and liberating enlightenment' when these emotions are released - permanently. This process can be greatly speeded up by the use of hypnosis enabling the person to reach a successful release from their symptoms usually within six to ten hourly sessions at weekly intervals. When the anxiety is gone, so too will be the need to overeat.
I believe Hypnoanalysis to be THE most effective and quickest form of psychotherapy available today, allowing for a permanent or significant decrease in anxiety-related symptoms.
Suggestion Therapy: hypnosis to lose weight
For more of a 'quick fix' solution to losing weight, I use suggestion therapy.
Perhaps you have just fallen into a pattern of eating poorly or overeating and this has now become a habit. Diets must rely on willpower. And willpower is nearly always ineffective and unreliable .Using hypnotherapy as an aid to weight loss will make you feel healthier, happier, and more energetic from the moment you leave the room after the therapy.
The suggestions that are given to you under hypnosis will ensure that you will find it easier to control your food intake and to eat healthier foods. These suggestions will also make it easier for you to enjoy exercise more. You will feel better about yourself and have the confidence to be relaxed rather than stressed about losing weight.
